The successful candidate will be participating in a 1 in 14 rota, contributing equally to 24/7 cover of NSECH emergency general surgery. The candidate will be attached to the colorectal surgery department and the role will be tailored to their individual needs with a strong focus on robotic colorectal surgical skills. If the candidate has full or provisional JAG accreditation they may be asked to provide endoscopy sessions, this will be negotiated with the candidate based on their experience.

Duties will also involve cover for outpatient clinics, theatres, and special interest clinics. On-site sub-specialty consultant cover (Upper GI and Colorectal) is provided between 0800hr and 1800hr, with 24hr consultant cover outside these times provided from home.

The post is for 12 months. The candidate should be peri or post CCT in General Surgery.
