Summary
1. To comply with all the organisational and departmental policies and procedures. To contribute to discussions on service/policy development and provide comments on proposals and to propose changes where required. 2. To be responsible for equipment used in carrying out Occupational Therapy duties and to adhere to departmental equipment policy, including competence to use equipment. To ensure the safe use of equipment by others through teaching, training, and supervision of practice. 3. To decide priorities for your own work area, balancing other patient related and professional demands and ensure that these remain in accordance with those of the department. 4. Be aware of the Health and Safety aspects of your work and implement any policies which may be required to improve the safety of your work area, including the prompt recording, and reporting of accidents and incidents to senior staff. 5. To be responsible for the equipment used during treatment and to maintain stock control and assist in the ordering of supplies as necessary. 6. To be responsible for ensuring the effective selection and use of all treatment resources available in all situations.
