An opportunity has arisen to work in a low needs 16 bed residential home and to be apart of a friendly team who make a rewarding difference to the lives of our residents.
We are looking for someone who can work well within a team, have fun and help create a happy environment for our residents.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience of working in the Care Sector preferred, NVQ2 or above needed, medication trained
JOB PURPOSE: To provide care for the residents, respective of their individual needs and in a manner to enhance their quality of life
To work mainly 12 hour days and to pick up nights shifts to cover annual leave
What your typical day involves
Assisting residents with personal care such as bathing, toileting, dressing etc whilst up keeping high levels of dignity for our residents and helping them to keep their independence.
Supporting residents at meal times by helping them get to the dining room either by supporting them to walk, transferring them into a wheelchair
Administration duties such as daily notes, handover, reading/changing of Care Plans of each client to promote continuity of care
Answer call bells and give assistance as required
Laundry
Encouraging residents to take part in activities for stimulation.
keeping the home clean and tidy
