Role Overview:
As a Sunday School Teacher, you will play a vital role in nurturing the spiritual growth and development of children in our community. You will create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters the values and teachings of our faith. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children, has a strong sense of community, and is dedicated to making a positive impact through education and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lesson Planning: Develop and deliver age-appropriate Sunday School lessons that align with our charity’s mission and values.
• Classroom Management: Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect among students.
• Child Engagement: Use creative teaching methods, including storytelling, crafts, games, and discussions, to make learning fun and meaningful.
• Parental Communication: Maintain open and positive communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and upcoming events.
• Volunteer Coordination: Collaborate with and guide volunteer assistants to ensure the smooth running of Sunday School sessions.
• Event Participation: Assist in planning and organizing special events, such as holiday programs, fundraisers, and community outreach activities.
• Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate and update curriculum and teaching methods to keep lessons relevant and engaging.
Qualifications:
• Faith Commitment: Strong personal faith and understanding of our charity’s religious teachings.
• Experience: Previous experience working with children in an educational or religious setting is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
• Background Check: Successful completion of a background check and any required child protection training.
• £500.00 maintenance per month and £200.00 expenses sum.
