Summary

McGinley are looking for an experienced Pipelayer to join our team on a major infrastructure project. The ideal candidate will have expertise in installing, repairing, and maintaining drainage and water systems, including concrete, cast iron, and plastic pipework. A strong understanding of groundwork, trenching, and reinstatement is essential. A full UK driving licence is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and connect drainage, sewer, and water supply pipes, including cast iron, concrete, and plastic pipes (150mm - 600mm+).
  • Carry out excavation, trenching, and backfilling following safety and engineering specifications.
  • Install manholes, culverts, and stormwater systems, ensuring correct alignment and sealing.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, including trench support and confined space work.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure project deadlines are met.
Requirements:
  • CSCS card (Essential)
  • Proven experience as a Pipelayer in civil engineering or construction projects
  • CPCS/NPORS tickets for plant operation (Preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence (Essential)
  • Ability to read drawings, levels, and specifications
  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations for trenching and pipework
