Summary
To independently provide all ophthalmic imaging interpretation, analysis, and modelling forboth commercial and research-grade high resolution ophthalmic instruments, including highly specialised areas such as developing algorithms, analytics, adaptive optics scanninglight ophthalmoscopes, optical coherence tomography devices, and digital basedphotography of both anterior and posterior segments to a high standard. Responsible for complex analysis and designing algorithms for specialized ophthalmicimaging techniques including but not limited to neuro or adaptive optics imaging. Responsible for programming, designs and development of an appropriate researchmethodology in order to address the research objective; compile and analyse quantitativeand qualitative data, prepares reports and presents results to summarise main findings andconclusions. Responsible for interpretation of large amount of data in conjunction with the researchteam, putting acquired information into context with other clinical tests. Responsible for the transfer of clinical and technical information to PHD students regardingretinal and neuro-imaging, adaptive optics and angiography. Develop and maintain an understanding of a range of specialised imaging procedures requiring expertise underpinned by theoretical knowledge. Undertake manual activities involving patients and equipment.
