Summary
The post-holder will practice as an HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist (BMS) in Biochemistry, participating fully in the practical work of the department. They will be responsible for the operation and provision of a high quality technical service. In addition they will share responsibility for the Blood Sciences section of the department along with the other Senior BMS in Blood Sciences, providing guidance to other staff as appropriate. They will also be expected to deputise for the Site Lead Blood Sciences BMS in their absence. The post holder will liaise closely with the other Senior BMS in Blood Sciences and the Site Lead BMS of the department, providing a high quality technical service that builds on the standards defined by the UKAS. They will be expected to develop and maintain close working relationships with all grades of staff, both technical and medical, to ensure the effective delivery of the technical service.
