We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive SAGE Accounts Assistant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role with the day-to-day running of the accounts function in SAGE, particularly the purchase and sales ledgers ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining financial records. However, they will also be supporting the rest of the team with a range of ad-hoc projects and duties as required.
This is a great role for someone who wants their own steady area of core responsibilities but wants to gain a bit more exposure to the wider finance function, or simply enjoys a mixture of tasks to keep the day interesting. This new roll has arisen to support a new phase of growth for the business.
The role is full-time and fully in the office, 9am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, 9am – 2pm Friday.
· Sage 50 experience essential it is a must as the job will be hit the floor running. No training for purchase/sales ledger will be given.
A minimum of 3 years experience with SAGE in purchase/sales ledgers required. e.g. coding purchase invoices and raising sales invoices
· High level of attention to detail
· Good communication skills (e.g. phone and email)
· Basic Excel skills
· Good organisation skills
· Motivated and able to work proactively
Core Responsibilities:
· Taking responsibility for the day-to-day purchase/sales ledgers, including processing accurate sales invoices and proformas
· Reconciling customer accounts
· Maintaining the fixed asset register
· CIS statements
· General finance administration, e.g. ensuring filing is kept up-to-date
· Supporting the Finance Manager as needed
· Assisting with credit control, e.g. sending statements of account, if needed
