Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Laminator to join our team in the print industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various hand and power tools. As a Laminator, you will be responsible for operating laminating machines, ensuring high-quality finishes on printed materials, and maintaining equipment to meet production standards. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate laminating machines to apply protective coatings to printed materials.
- Assemble and prepare materials for the laminating process, ensuring proper alignment and adherence.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laminating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Use hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly tasks as needed.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and improve processes.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating machinery within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic maths for measurements and calculations.
- Previous experience in fabrication or painting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
