The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance.
  • Monitor stock, portions and quality of food prepared.
  • Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Taking initiative and helping to have a great service from both kitchen and service side.
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.

Experience

  • Diploma or degree from accredited university in culinary arts or NVQ or related major
  • Minimum 3 years' experience

  • Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Innovative and creative in food production
  • Pro-active and reliable
  • Positive attitude
  • Good preparation and co-ordination skills
  • Able to work alone and within a team
  • Basic computer skills
  • Able to run the pass
  • Sharing knowledge and ideas in menu development
  • Good level of English essential in reading and writing
