The Role

As a Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our hotel throughout the day Serving as the Manager on Duty, you will be the primary point of contact for guest enquiries and any arising issues. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operational Oversight: Collaborate with the Hotel Management Team to supervise all departments, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Financial Acumen: Fully comprehend departmental budgets and targets, motivating your team to achieve and surpass them.
  • Innovative Leadership: Embrace forward-thinking approaches, continually seeking ways to enhance workflows and implement best practices.
  • Guest Experience Management: Ensure guest profiles are current, room allocations align with Nobu's standards, and VIP preparations are completed promptly.
  • Feedback Integration: Diligently monitor guest reviews, celebrating successes, identifying areas for improvement, and initiating necessary follow-ups.
  • Team Development: Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
  • Multitasking and Prioritisation: Efficiently manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads, and adhere to deadlines.
  • Staff Direction: Offer clear direction to all on-shift employees, ensuring cohesive and effective operations.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as the escalation point for complaints or queries, resolving them with professionalism and care.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Embody and promote Nobu's values, serving as a role model and leader committed to our team's and guests' well-being.

EXPERIENCE

  • Ideally a minimum 1 year experience in a Duty Manager role within a similar sized luxury hotel.
  • Strong understanding of OPERA or similar reservation systems.
  • Able to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
