Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry

The kitchens at the Grand Hotel are a hive of chefs using their culinary flair to create appetising dishes for all our guests. As Pastry Demi Chef de Partie you will be a key team player in the kitchen, helping to ensure the effective running of the department.

What you will do

• Take responsibility for the preparation and presentation of all Pastry dishes in your allocated area, ensuring that all guests receive efficient service and high quality dishes
• Have a full awareness of the preparation and service of all dishes on the hotel menus
• Welcome and be receptive to individual customer requirements and ensure that these are satisfied in a friendly, helpful and efficient manner
• Be flexible to jump into any roll within the kitchen when needed
• Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests and colleagues

Ideal candidate

• Experience working within a busy Pastry kitchen in a similar role is essential, and it would be advantageous for this to have been in a hotel kitchen.
• We are looking for someone with a real passion for food and the drive to succeed in a new role
• Outstanding hygiene skills are essential
• Certificate in elementary food hygiene would be desirable
• Due to the nature of the work, the ideal candidate would be fully flexible in their approach to work and be able to work shift patterns through weekdays and weekends
