Manpower Engineering is delighted to be working in partnership with a dynamic climate-tech startup who have been named a Top 50 ConTech Startup by CEMEX Ventures in 2024. With aggressive growth plans in place, we are seeking a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join their C-Suite. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead sales, market expansion, and commercial strategy, ensuring they becomes the "go-to replacement" for diesel generators by the end of the decade.


The Role
As Chief Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for developing and executing a high-impact commercial strategy to achieve 1,000+ generator sales annually by the end of the decade. You will lead sales, business development, and marketing functions, building a world-class team and forging strategic partnerships to expand our market presence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Collaboration - serve as the face of the company for all commercial activities, building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and partners.
  • Commercial Strategy & Market Expansion - Develop and lead the commercial and growth strategy, developing scalable sales strategies to achieve 1,000+ product sales annually by the end of the decade.
  • Sales & Business Development - Build, scale, and lead a high-performing sales and account management team to meet and exceed ambitious sales targets across multiple markets.
  • Marketing & Brand Positioning - Build and lead a high-performing communications and marketing team to support the sales function and drive growth across the business, including planning for additional headcount as required.


What We're Looking For
Required:

  • Ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on execution in the first 6-12 months.
  • Proven experience developing and executing commercial and growth strategies in technical sales (energy, industrial equipment, or construction sectors).
  • Track record of building and leading high-performing global sales teams.
  • Strong ability to identify market opportunities, define product briefs, and align sales with product development.
  • Experience securing major contracts, partnerships, and revenue growth.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Experience engaging with shareholders and investors.

Preferred:

  • Experience in renewable energy or climate-tech industries.
  • Knowledge of clean power generation technologies and diesel generator alternatives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, thriving in high-growth environments.
