Following recent growth and success, we are looking for qualified RICS registered valuers to join the rural valuation team in the
south and east, supporting an existing team undertaking a variety of valuations, including the delivery of national portfolio
contracts.




The role will give the successful applicant an opportunity to join an expanding national team of over 45 rural valuers, providing
valuation advice to a range of clients. Based in the Oxford and Cambridge hub offices and working alongside the rural valuation
head to deliver both regional and national valuation projects, with a particular focus on financial reporting and specialist
taxation valuations.

Main tasks

Working alongside an experienced Oxford and Cambridge based team to meet an increasing level of instructions and support to growth
of the rural valuation product, service and turnover. For the right candidate there is opportunity to specialise and develop
within emerging valuation sectors and specialisms.




Day to day roles include but are not limited to:

* Servicing an existing workflow of taxation and specialist valuation advice within our South and Eastern regional teams, with an
emphasis on Oxfordshire and Cambridgeshire and their adjacent counties in both cases.
* A business development focus both regionally, with professional contacts; as well as industry specialist firms and secured
lending institutions in London.
* Liaison with research and marketing teams to promote valuation and the valuation team of experts.
* Assisting in the delivery of a financial reporting valuations for private office clients, county councils, educational
institutions, and government organisations, including a national asset portfolio of nature assets. To include liaison with
client and auditors.
* Collection, analysis and development of market data to support the national rural valuation team and preparing market and
sector commentaries in conjunction with our marketing teams.
* The valuation of a range of rural asset classes, including farms and farmland, rural diversified estates, residential,
commercial and energy assets; woodland and nature assets; heritage and specialist agricultural assets.



The above day to day work will suit a qualified RICS registered valuer (less than 2 years post qualification considered), with a
particular interest in the delivery of valuations to a high standard, with the confidence and enthusiasm to take on a regional and
national role.The rural valuation team, as a whole, have ambitious targets as part of the wider Carter Jonas Vision 2030 and are
looking for new team members to help achieve the growth of the wider rural division, including the identifying new work streams
and targeting new clients.






What will it take to be successful?

rural sector, including those of a more specialist, or sector focused, background looking to relocate or refocus into the rural
sector. We are looking for enthusiasm, integrity and a those with a determined attitude to deliver the valuation product to a high
standard, with client care at the centre of their attention; someone who has the ability to manage multiple projects and deal with
a variety of work. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, working directly with clients who own, manage and shape a
diverse rural landscape where you will need to be flexible in your approach and be a supportive and collaborative team member who
is prepared to participate in managing and developing other team members.
