What You'll Do:
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, enhancing patient care across both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Who We're Looking For:
Candidates should have experience as a Band 7 Pharmacist, ideally with some renal pharmacy exposure. You should be comfortable collaborating with nursing and medical staff at ward level, contributing to the optimisation of complex medication regimens. Experience in clinics and independent prescribing is a plus, but training will be provided. Familiarity with high-cost drug processes and clinical guideline writing would also be beneficial.
The post holder will carry out the full range of duties as the Highly Specialist Pharmacist in renal and urology to deliver patient focused, quality care, based at the Royal London Hospital.
They will promote the responsible, safe and cost-effective prescribing of medicines within renal and urology to optimise clinical outcomes, minimise adverse reactions and improve medicines safety. The post holder will be supporting the Lead Pharmacist in leading a team
of staff in the delivery of a high-quality clinical pharmacy service.
They will support the Lead Pharmacist in managing the professional, clinical and technical input of pharmacy into the renal and urology directorates at the Royal London Hospital and will help deliver the broader medicines optimisation and governance strategy across the
Trust. These outcomes will be achieved primarily through leadership of clinical staff, and the publication and implementation of guidelines and procedures to encourage best practice.
The job description is not intended to be exhaustive and it is likely that duties may be altered from time to time in the light of changing circumstances and after consultation with the postholder. The post holder might be required to work across the Trust at any time throughout the duration of their contract, which may entail travel and working at a different hospital site and travelling to satellite dialysis units in Romford and Redbridge.
