Job Description
Experienced Mechanic/Technician required
Mechanical technician Role overview
You will be reporting directly to the front of house, you will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage your own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy garage environment in an automotive setting.
The main objective of the role will be part of a small team but, you should be equally happy working on your own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.
Job Responsibilities
To adhere to the Company Policies & Procedures.
To fit any parts or products specified by the Company to customer/company vehicles.
Carry out a range of maintenance/repairs/servicing/diagnoses to our customer's vehicles, as required by the company.
To maintain booking times given.
To maintain the cleanliness of the work area and its equipment on an ongoing basis.
To support the team in all its efforts to diagnose and upsell additional parts and services as required.
To wear the uniform provided by the Company; to maintain it and present a smart personal appearance.
To be available for work at the times specified by the company.
Applicant Requirements
You will have a minimum of 3 years experience.
You will be able to work to the highest standards.
Have experience in:
All aspects of automotive mechanical repair and diagnoses.
Some knowledge of electrical diagnoses and repair to diesel and petrol engine management systems (on going training will be provided).
MOT Licence not necessary but would be an advantage or willing to train for this.
This vacancy is for a position in our workshop based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.
We ask that you provide evidence of a long-term commitment to previous employers and have your own tools.
We will need you to show a current clean driving licence.
We are seeking a friendly enthusiastic person who can become a member of our dedicated team.
We offer a highly competitive performance related bonus. 20 days holiday - pro rata + bank holiday.
This job role will require you to work every Saturday.
