Summary

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a proven track record of commitment to the delivery of a high quality, responsive and innovative Registration Service.
In this role in addition to, registering births, deaths, still births, marriages, and civil partnerships in an accurate and timely manner; you will undertake monitoring activities to ensure consistency in staff approach to service delivery, identify trends and opportunities to improve service delivery; providing regular feedback to both staff and managers; highlighting good practice and co-ordinating necessary corrective actions.
The Compliance and Training Officer will develop and maintain robust monitoring activity across all service delivery, generating evidence to demonstrate best practice and to provide necessary assurances. To do this you must be able to interpret legislation and standards within a framework and create and instigate activities to generate evidence.
Leadership qualities and the ability to manage change effectively is essential. In this role you will need to take a lead and work own initiative as well as contributing to the work of the team and supporting others.
You must be able to demonstrate professionalism, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with colleagues and customers along with ability to explain complex technical issues in a non-technical way.
You must have experience of contributing towards new ways of working and experience of training and mentoring staff. In this role you will be required to create and deliver innovative training and develop training plans to meet both current and future need. You must have highly developed communication skills with the ability to present information both clearly and consistently and in a manner that is appropriate to the needs of a wide range audiences.
This role will involve weekend working.
