Summary

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our busy team within the International Relations Office (IRO).

You will support all aspects of the University's study abroad and exchange activities with a particular focus on the coordination and administration of the admissions process and student experience of exchange and visiting students.

The duties of this busy and varied role require excellent communication and people management skills. The successful candidate will be an effective team player who can relate well to a wide range of people, including international students, staff, and visitors at all levels.

You should possess excellent IT skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), e-mail and internet. You should also have the ability to work to tight deadlines with a high level of autonomy whilst maintaining close attention to detail in a calm and professional manner. Experience of web maintenance would also be desirable.

The principal functions of the IRO are to inform and help deliver the University International Strategy, particularly with regard to partnerships in their various forms, and staff and student mobility.

The International Relations Office is split into two teams;

* The Partnership Team which is responsible for managing our overseas strategic partnerships and academic networks and alliances in research and education. Providing expert advice for international higher education and research collaborations, they oversee agreements, coordinate the IRO Funding Schemes and support capacity-building through transnational education and research training.
* The Mobility Team coordinates and supports international mobility activities, including the Turing Scheme, short term overseas and exchange programmes. They provide information and guidance on applications for incoming and outgoing students and staff.

The team currently works in a hybrid model and you will be expected to be on campus for a minimum of three days per week (with some flexibility to support visits or out of hours events), however, we are open to a discussion on how the hours are structured across the working week.

This role is offered on a full-time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Amy Riddle, International Mobility Officer via email (ar2137@bath.ac.uk).
