Summary

Are you on the look out for a rewarding part-time jon where you can make a difference in the lives of others? You're in luck as our #TeamBeltane are on the look out for a Male* Support Practitioner to join them part-time (20 hours per week) basis.

The Role

You'll become part of a dedicated team supporting a gentleman to live as independently as possible within his own home. As a Support Practitioner, you’ll assist the gentleman with all aspects of daily living including cooking, housework, shopping, medication and personal care. Your support will play a huge part in helping him to reach his goals and play an active part in his local community. With a love of all things 80s, going for long drives in the summer, gaming and trips to the cinema the great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same

About You

At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need to build your career within the Health & Social Care sector. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

A caring attitude and approach
Good communication skills
A positive approach to learning
An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines
Confidence in the use of computers.
Due to the person we support having their own mobility car and enjoying going for driver, you'll need to have a full UK manual licence with a years experience on the roads.


Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing tailored support to the needs of each individual, shift patterns will include day shift with some sleepovers Monday through Sunday on a 1 to 1 basis.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
