Summary
To support the delivery of a comprehensive patient focussed Medical Equipment Library Service as part of the Clinical Engineering Department of Medway Maritime Hospital. The post holder will participate in education and training and will assist in the development of all Clinical Engineering functions. Equipment Librarians will take and record requests for the delivery and return of Library Medical Equipment and satisfy the Equipment needs of clinical staff as specified in the Equipment Library SOP. All Library Equipment loans and returns will be recorded by the Equipment Librarians and loaned Library Equipment will be continually appraised to ensure timely return. Librarians will complete regular and frequent audits of the Library and the Hospital Clinical Environment using appropriate means to track Library and other Medical Equipment.
