Summary

To support our customer experience journey a new role has been created for a Continuous Improvement Officer to join our Programme Management Office (PMO) and Improvement team.

The team sits within the Customers, Digital and Improvement Directorate providing strategic advice and guidance along with delivery of programmes and projects, change management and continuous improvement activity.

The team works collaboratively across all council teams, both internally and externally focused.

We are seeking a Continuous Improvement professional with previous experience of successfully delivering improvement projects. As the Continuous Improvement officer, you will support the development, implementation, and management of the continuous improvement approach by applying different improvement techniques, service delivery options, and process improvements that will drive increased operational effectiveness and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a business and project management environment, knowledge of continuous improvement techniques, process reengineering and functional design. They will also have a track record of identifying efficiencies, driving continuous improvement and undertaking independent assurance reviews along with great analytical, problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.

The successful candidate will preferably have a recognised professional Continuous Improvement Certification (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, CPIM, Agile, etc.).
