Summary
The Customer Experience team is responsible for the billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax & Business Rates, the administration of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, Blue Badges, financial assessments for adult social care fees, deputyship clients and customer services.

As a Benefits Assistant you will have:
• Good communication skills
• Good IT skills
• an eye for accuracy and attention to detail
• an understanding confidentiality
• excellent customer service skills and able to be tactful and sympathetic
• experience of working in a busy customer focused team/office
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
About the role…
As a Benefits Assistant you will be the administrative support for the Benefits team. Duties will include:
• Scanning incoming post and uploading of electronic mail
• Indexing documents in workflow
• monitor and respond to email enquiries
• Updating databases
• Answering customers’ enquiries using different communication channels
• Ability to acquire and develop a working knowledge of rules and procedures
Benefits Assistant interviews will be held week commencing 10 March 2025.
