The Client Fund Accounting Team are responsible for the management of Client Funds. This includes the implementation and administration of a robust financial control regime to ensure that all funding is correctly accounted for. The team is also responsible for the production of the Child Maintenance Client Fund Financial Accounts.
The successful candidate can expect to be involved in a range of the following activities:
- Playing an important role in ensuring that client funds are properly accounted for and reconciled correctly.
- Identifying and correcting financial errors where necessary, and ensuring that a full audit trail is maintained to record the movement of funds.
- Producing a range of high quality MI reports for managers within DWP, ensuring that they are produced accurately and timeously.
- Contributing to the production of the annual published Client Fund Accounts.
- Supporting NAO’s audit of the Client Fund Accounts.
- Proactively identifying and leading on continuous improvement of finance processes and procedures.
Hybrid working
This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home.
This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business need, but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be taken into account.
This role can only be delivered from the UK.
