Reporting to: The Employer
Location: Honeybourne, WR11
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 53-year-old female living in the WR11 area of Honeybourne in Evesham who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support with all aspects of daily living for 28 hours per week.
Main duties:
Social duties:
keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
organise and attend medical appointments
access the local community
Personal care: support with all personal care, medication.
Domestic duties: support with grocery shopping, cooking and serving nutritious meals and snacks, cleaning, changing linen and laundry.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality and diversity.
Specific requirements: previous care & support experience require. Must be comfortable around dogs as there is dog in the home.
Other: due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.
Hours of work: 28 hours per week – Monday to Friday but may need occasional weekend support
Rate of pay: £15.00 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
driving licence
car and appropriate insurance
previous care experience
confidentiality
good at building relationships
must like dogs
Preferred:
computer literate
good communicator
a good listener
ability to support people with behaviours which challenge.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
