Please note that this role is primarily evening and overnight work, with occasional day time work expected.

About this role…

We are looking for a Night Deputy Manager join the teams at Lambeth Assessment Centre, Snow Hill Court and Robertson Street.

We will not accept applications where Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been used to assist with completing the competency questions.

Assessment Centres

Assessment Centres are fast paced services where people are referred in, usually from the street, and rapidly referred on to appropriate longer term accommodation. The services are short stay, and staff provide wrap around support and liaison with several external partners, including physical health, mental health, substance use and housing. Staffed 24 hours to ensure this quick turnaround, they are a key service to ensure people are off the streets and in stable accommodation.

Hostels

Thames Reach’s hostels are transitional spaces where a 24 hour staff team support people to move in, assess their needs, and quickly identify the best place for them to move on to next. Skilled staff teams develop personalised support plans to ensure people are ready to move on and are accessing support with their health, substance misuse, criminal justice and life skills needs

You will be:

.Responsible for directly managing night staff across three services
.Ensuring that any incidents are well managed and the teams are supported with risk management with residents receiving a high level of support
.Foster a culture of high performance and continual striving to improve upon successes throughout your team
.Develop and ensure that Thames Reach policies and best practice are in place
.Liaise with management across the services to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach from day to night shifts.

You will have:

.A decisive and effective leader, able to work both autonomously and as part of a wider management team
.An excellent communicator able to form and maintain effective working relationships with all partners and colleagues
.Experience in directly managing staff, overseeing the management of others and ensure the services are well managed at night
.Excellent IT skills
