Summary

Job Description

Social Worker (Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services)
There are posts available across all three localities in the city (South, North East and North West)

The successful candidate will be part of an integrated health and social care team, within Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (GADRS) and will manage a caseload of service users with complex needs.
They will work closely within a multi-disciplinary team, assessing, care planning and supporting service users and will be responsible for statutory based work including Adult Support and Protection and be critical in building relationships with service users and their families.

We are looking for an enthusiastic , recovery focussed individual that displays the ability to manage change and risk.

Applicants must either possess a Degree / Diploma in Social Work (or Social Work equivalent).

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment along with SSSC Registration. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Check Please note as part of the local government pay deal, local authority staff are currently not required to pay SSSC fees.

Registration to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is an essential requirement for this role. You must either be already registered or have applied within 3 months and be registered within 6 months from your start date.

These posts are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
