Description

General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for an Electrical Maintenance & Facilities Apprentice to join our Maintenance & Facilities Team, based in Merthyr, South Wales. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favorable salary of £18,000. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally. The GDUK Electrical Maintenance & Facilities Apprenticeship Scheme will operate over a four-year period and will enable the individual to gain an appreciation of Maintenance & Facilities disciplines within GDUK which are but not limited to:
  • Electrical maintenance
  • Electrical Fault finding & Repairs
  • Equipment & Building Facilities Experience
If you were already working in this position, this is what you would have been working on this week:
  • Undertake a range of tasks suited to the current level of training and development
  • Attend college and complete course work on time and to a high standard
  • Produce, maintain and be responsible for content, accuracy and sign off of log books
  • Take on additional responsibility in Year 3 of the Apprenticeship
  • Understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time
  • Understand and comply with policies and procedures
  • Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
  • Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Attend and fully participate regular training and development reviews with line management, mentor and HR representatives
  • To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required
