Addiewell Early Years Centre provides early learning and childcare to the village of Addiewell and the surrounding area. As a member of the Early Years team you will work to support the provision of a high quality learning environment for all children promoting challenge, curiosity and creativity.

We seek a motivated Early Learning and Childcare Practitioner who will demonstrate commitment to our vision, values and aims and is motivated to work as part of our team to support positive outcomes for all of our children and families.

Addiewell Early Years has a present role of 43 children aged between 2 years old to 5 years old split across 4 nursery sessions, AM, PM, full day and term time placements. Staff work flexibly on a rota between the hours of 7.45am and 6.15pm and during school holidays when our ELC setting will remain open.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC.

SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
