You will be an integral part of the Acute Medical Team at the Rochdale Care Organisation, working alongside an experienced team of Consultants and junior medical staff. The post will be predominantly based on theSame Day Emergency Care Unit with some ad-hoc cover to the Acute Medical Unit. This post does not include any on-call commitments although they can be added on an ad-hoc or rota basis if desired. This role does include weekend working on a rota basis.

The post holder will be expected to take part in the assessment and management of patients referred to SDEC. This will include taking part in the daily assessment of patients, initiating management plans for these patients and performing procedures (under supervision if needed). The post holder will be expected to manage the SDEC single point of access.

The post holder will also be expected to take a lead role within board rounds and MDT meetings.
