Job Description

Mental Health Practitioner/Therapist– CSE Services Bedford

Salary: Up to £38,907 per annum dependent on experience

Permanent: Full time 40 hours per week, part time considered

Location: Covering a number of small residential homes and one school in the Bedford area (all within 45mins drive approx. of central Bedford).

Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in children’s residential care, education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated individual to join the company as a Mental Health Practitioner or Therapist. The post will require someone with previous experience of working with children and young people, ideally in a residential or educational setting.

Job Role

You will be providing a therapeutic service to young people within our specialist CSE residential and education settings by assessing and identifying their strengths and needs and delivering evidence based individual therapeutic interventions. In addition, a key part of the role is providing consultation and training to the staff teams and, dependant on your experience you may be required to supervise other Mental Health Practitioners and Assistants.

You will receive regular clinical supervision and CPD opportunities.

You will be required to travel between homes.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, creative Mental Health Practitioner or Therapist to join our friendly team.

Essential:

Have experience of working with children and young people
Be passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people
Be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills
Be registered with a relevant professional organisation (e.g HCPC, NMC, BACP)

Beneficial

Previous experience of working within residential or education settings

CAMHS experience
Experience of delivering training
Experience of providing consultation/support to staff teams
