Summary
Flat Roofers/Fixers | Widnes/Runcorn | 7:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 3:00pm Friday (plus travel time to site) | £26,174.72 - £40,000 per year depending on experience
Our client is a successful and growing specialist flat roofing contractor based in Chorley, Lancashire, working across the Northwest and Cumbria. They are looking for Trainee Fixers and Experienced Flat Roofers/Fixers to join their established teams based in the Widnes/Runcorn area.
Are you the right person for the job?
• Clean UK driving license and own vehicle to travel to the meeting point in Widnes/Runcorn
• Live within 20 minutes of Widnes or Runcorn
• Willing to arrive at the meeting point by 6am for onward travel in the team van
• Team worker with excellent communication skills
• Fit and capable of lifting relatively heavy materials safely
• Hard working, punctual, and reliable
Trainee Fixers:
• No prior flat roofing experience required (full training will be provided)
• 2 years’ experience in the construction industry
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills
• Willing to take training and gain expertise in Single Ply Membranes
• CSCS card holder (or willingness to obtain) and awareness of Health & Safety
Experienced Flat Roofers/Fixers:
• At least 2 years’ experience with Single Ply Membranes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
• CSCS card holder (or willingness to obtain) and awareness of Health & Safety
What will your role look like?
Trainee Fixers:
• Assist experienced fixers with daily tasks
• Learn installation techniques for Single Ply Membranes
• Handle and manage materials
• Ensure work sites are clean and safe
• Follow Health & Safety protocols
Experienced Flat Roofers/Fixers:
• Install Single Ply Membranes on flat roofing projects
• Manage material handling
• Ensure high-quality workmanship
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations
• Mentor and assist less experienced team members
• Liaise with supervisors to ensure project timelines and specifications are met
