This role presents an opportunity to help shape the future of both people and property safety across the Council, and advance Hull City Councils Health, Safety and Wellbeing objectives in providing safe methods of work and premises for our staff, service users and others.

The post holder will contribute to the development and delivery of health and safety programmes, projects and policies, providing advice and support to managers and employees on health and safety matters, audits and reporting on H&S performance across the Council.
You will provide advice and support to managers and employees on all health and safety matters, including legal compliance, operational best practice, accident and ill health prevention and visits by OFSTED/HSE/Fire and Rescue in accordance with Council policies and procedures.
You will provide managers with support, advice and assistance in the preparation and implementation of health and safety risk assessments and provide a risk assessment quality assurance function.
Contribute to the Councils monitoring of its health and safety performance in order to identify trends and inadequately controlled risks.
