Summary

Lead and Inspire: Part-Time SENCo/Teacher in Charge - Bognor Regis

Randstad Education is working with a well-regarded primary school in Bognor Regis to recruit a dedicated SENCo/Teacher in Charge to lead their Special Support Centre.

About the Role:
  • Schedule: Part-time (0.6 position) - Afternoons plus a full day on Friday
  • Contract: Temp to Perm
  • Salary: Teacher Mainscale or UPS (depending on experience) + TLR2 allowance
  • Leadership Role: Join the Senior Leadership Team and shape the school's approach to supporting students with special educational needs
  • Impact: Lead a dedicated team, fostering a supportive and engaging environment for students with social communication and speech and language difficulties
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and ensure high-quality education and care within the Special Support Centre
  • Develop and implement tailored interventions to support students with social communication and speech and language needs
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to promote an inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to enhance their development
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to offer guidance and updates on student progress
What We're Looking For:
  • SEN Expertise: Experience working with students with social communication and speech and language difficulties
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams and support professional development
  • Collaborative & Adaptable: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders
  • Passionate Advocate: A deep commitment to supporting students with special educational needs
Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, etc.)
  • Experience working with a diverse range of learners
  • Experience leading or supporting an SEN provision is highly desirable
