The Phoenix Under Fives Trustees are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our small, friendly team! If you have a genuine love for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality care, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role:
Position: Early Years Practitioner
Hours: 15 hours per week (flexible, to be discussed)
Pay: £12 per hour (rising in April 2025)
Location: Phoenix Under Fives Preschool, York
Start Date: February 2025
Responsibilities:
- Providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for preschool aged children.
- Planning and implementing engaging invitations to play that support children's development.
- Observing and recording children's progress.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
- Maintaining a clean and organised learning environment.
- Adhering to all safeguarding policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements:
- A relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.
- Experience of working with young children.
- A secure understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for early years education.
- A current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
