The Role
Reporting to the Catering Manager
Responsible for: Preparing, cooking and serving food from the defined menu. Counters service. Pre-service and post service kitchen preparation and shut down.
Rate of Pay: Minimum Wage, casual contract
Base Hours: Range of evening, weekend and weekday work available including sleepovers
Main duties and responsibilities
Operating the kitchen during rostered hours. Preparing, cooking and serving food from the defined menu. Pre-service and post service kitchen preparation and shut down.
Responsibilities include;
• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our visitors and customers
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas
• Ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment
• End of day cashing up
• Assisting with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles
• Representing Catalyst and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
Person specification:
• Demonstrate an ability to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels
• Be an excellent team player
• Have a committed and organised approach
• Have a desire to succeed in your role
• Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability
• Catering experience is highly desirable
