Senior Support Worker – Children’s Home
Gravenhurst, Bedfordshire
Up to £30.275 + £44.56 per sleep-in and £1,400 attendance bonus (paid each quarter)

I am looking for a Senior Support Worker to work in a settled 2 bedded home for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

In this role you will:

• Supervise Support Workers to ensure that disadvantaged young people are cared for in line with legislative, contractual and inspection framework requirements
• Be a positive role model to young people – building and creating mutual trust and respect
• Produce, maintain and distribute house paperwork to ensure relevant information is recorded accurately and is available
• Create and produce activities to occupy and develop young people
• Coach, support and develop Support Workers
• Provide basic advice and skills to young people on managing their finances and other everyday life skills

For this rewarding role you must have:

• At least 12 months residential care experience with children and young people
• QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) preferred
• The ability work on a rota basis and undertake sleep-in duties
• A full UK driving licence essential
