Summary
We are seeking a Chemical Analyst to work for an international manufacturer based in Kent.
The salary will be in the region of £30,000 to £34,000 pa annum plus a 25% shift premium (£37,500-£42,500 total pay). There is a rotating early and late shift pattern: Early Shift: 6am - 2pm Mon to Fri. Late Shift: 2pm -10.30pm Mon- Thur & 2pm - 7.30pm on Fridays. 37.5 hours pw.
Purpose of the role:
• This role is to control and maintain electroplating and metal finishing solution tanks to achieve the standards set out in the Company Policies, Procedures and Instructions.
• It includes achieving and following the standards as detailed above paying particular attention to Health, Safety and Welfare standards and Product Quality standards
• The role includes the day to day working with various Chemicals and Solutions and the maintenance and recording of parameters associated with these.
• Routine chemical analysis of solutions / materials and problem solving
Person Specification:
• Degree or HND in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry or related
• Some experience/knowledge of industrial electroplating is preferred
• Knowledge of COSHH and environmental permits
• Methodical Approach to Process/Product Improvement and development.
