Accuracy Checking Technician
Location: Outpatient Pharmacy, Denmark Hill, London, SE5 9RS
Salary: £36,000 - £43,800 plus 12% annual bonus (KFM Band 5)
KFM is looking for a dedicated Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) to support the day-to-day operations of our outpatient pharmacy.
As an Accredited Accuracy Checking Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medicines
while supervising and supporting pharmacy staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform final accuracy checks on prescriptions following national and departmental policies.
* Supervise pharmacy technicians, dispensers, and assistants, ensuring compliance with procedures.
* Oversee stock management, reducing wastage and ensuring cost efficiency.
* Label and dispense medications, ensuring they are checked by a pharmacist or another ACT.
* Provide specialist counselling to patients regarding their medications.
* Maintain accurate Controlled Drug records and handle stock audits.
* Support training and induction of new staff.
About You:
* NVQ Level 3 / BTEC Diploma in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent)
* Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
* Experience working in a pharmacy dispensary setting
