Summary
Duties include both clinic and theatre sessions, along with involvement in teaching and mentoring more junior staff. The post-holder will be involved in the management of surgical treatments within the OMFS out-patient clinic and theatre sessions. The post holder will provide advice to clinicians in hospital and primary care settings, originating either from telephone calls from external practitioners, other departments, associated clinical professionals or ward referrals. Availability to the Emergency Department to see, assess, diagnose and where appropriate treat urgent cases constitutes part of the on-call clinical commitments of this post. This post will be responsible for undertaking the administrative duties associated with patients under your or others care and some aspects of the administration of the OMFS department by agreement It is desirable that candidates have experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent.
