School Business Manager – Lead Our School’s Financial & Administrative Operations

Are you a detail-driven professional with strong financial and administrative expertise? We are looking for an experienced School Business Manager to oversee the financial and administrative functions of our school, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and compliance with key financial regulations.

About the Role
In this key leadership role, you will:
• Oversee financial processes, including budget management, payroll coordination, and ensuring financial compliance.
• Work closely with the Headteacher, providing essential staffing and financial data to support school budgeting and funding decisions.
• Manage admissions and school census reporting, ensuring funding opportunities are maximised.
• Ensure meticulous record-keeping, maintaining pupil payment records, staff contracts, and financial documentation.
• Lead and develop the administrative team, ensuring an efficient and effective support service for the school.
• Handle key HR functions, including recruitment, payroll processes, and compliance with employment regulations.

About You
We are looking for a highly organised professional with:
Strong financial administration skills, ideally with experience in a school or similar setting.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, and payroll processes.
• Proficiency in managing school funding processes, including census data and pupil premium funding.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a team and liaise with key stakeholders.
• The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and ensure financial and administrative compliance.
