Location: REDHILL HOSPITAL

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Shifts: 6am to Midday, working Sunday to Thursday shift pattern

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About Us:
Join a dedicated team at Redhill Hospital where they pride themselves on providing exceptional service to patients and staff. They are seeking a reliable and efficient Laundry Operative / Hospital Porter to support our hospital's daily operations.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain laundry equipment to ensure the timely cleaning of hospital linens and uniforms.
- Sort and prepare linens for washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution.
- Ensure all laundry processes meet health and safety standards and hospital requirements.
- Transport clean linen supplies to various hospital departments in a timely manner.
- Assist with the efficient movement of patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas and laundry facilities.
- Provide friendly and courteous service to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless hospital operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Prior experience working in a laundry or hospital environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift/move heavy items as necessary.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices related to laundry operations.

Ideally you will have a valid DBS, however this can be applied when starting. We have an immediate start for the right candidate.


This will be a temporary role initially but can have potential for something more permanent after probation period.
