Summary

Woodley Equipment Company Limited in Horwich are recruiting for an Apprentice Warehouse Operative. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship over the duration of 15 months.

Description:
The Role As a Warehouse Operative in a fast-paced environment, you will be a key part of our warehouse team, handling a range of essential tasks to support clinical trials globally. This is more than an average pick-and-pack role; you will engage in all aspects of warehouse operations to ensure the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and quality in the medical field. From inventory control to product inspection, you’ll play a vital role in our mission to provide reliable medical equipment. This is a great opportunity and offers the added benefit of being a Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm role offering a great work life balance.
Key Responsibilities
• Pick and Pack Orders: Ensure accurate, efficient preparation and dispatch of medical equipment, supporting the global distribution for clinical trials.
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Administration: Log activities in WMS to ensure actions are recorded and tracked effectively.
• Quality Control and Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections and testing on equipment before dispatch and upon return, adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with internal departments, provide updates to stakeholders, and maintain clear communication with team members and customer-facing staff.
• General Warehouse Duties: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, accurately manage stock, and contribute to effective inventory control.

Requirement:
We are seeking candidates with experience in warehouse and stock management, who can work effectively in a team while managing tasks independently. A proven ability to meet deadlines, a meticulous approach, and excellent personal conduct are essential. Ideal candidates are highly motivated, with a positive attitude and a desire to contribute to a high-performing team.

Hours:
Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm, 30 minutes lunch, 37½ hour week
