Summary

PS Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a residential childcare worker to work with our fantastic client offering support in their home based in Wythenshaw. This position will be based at our clients home in Wythenshaw supporting young people with Autism and/or learning disabilities

This children's service is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join their team. They are looking for energetic, empathetic people who can connect with young people and collaborate effectively with the team. The team is friendly and supportive, and they are eager to welcome someone who can engage with the young people and contribute to the positive atmosphere.

It is essential that the successful support worker has a minimum of 12 months experience working in a similar role. The purpose of this job is to provide physical, health, emotional and social care to the young people being looked after.
A DBS check covering both adults and children is essential for this position.
A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential for this role.
NVQ L3 in relevant field is ideal but not essential

Duties of this role as a Residential Childcare Worker will include

Providing a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment
Supporting with domestic duties
Key working responsibilities
Maintaining a good level of awareness around health and safety and safeguarding
Supporting children with complex needs
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with service users and families
Adhering to all health and safety and safeguarding at all times

The successful childcare worker must:
