The Role
We are looking for an experienced Passive Fire Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for passive fire protection projects, an eye for detail, and excellent communication skills. You will play a critical role in pricing projects accurately and ensuring our solutions align with industry regulations and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates for passive fire protection works.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to gather relevant project information.
- Prepare detailed BOQs (Bills of Quantities) and pricing schedules.
- Identify materials, labor, and equipment costs required for each project.
- Ensure all estimates comply with current fire safety regulations and industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of technical submissions and proposals.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Provide value engineering solutions to optimize project costs.
- Support the sales and project management teams with technical expertise.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an estimator within the passive fire protection industry.
- Strong understanding of fire stopping, fire doors, intumescent coatings, and compartmentation.
- Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office Suite.
