The role
Tameside Children’s Services are looking for a committed and motivated social care professional to join our team. Designated Social Care Officer will act as the Council’s Lead Social Care Professional for children with special educational needs and disabilities and be vital to delivering our ambitious improvement agenda.
In this role you will be responsible for managing and developing approaches to ensure high quality social care input, driving change across the workforce and overseeing all social care referrals from the SEN team.
You will have plenty of opportunities to learn new skills, gain experience, and to progress your career with us in Children’s Services.
About you
You will have substantial experience of delivering a specialist service within a large organisation and expert technical /professional knowledge and experience.
We are looking for candidates with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, as well as proven ability to communicate persuasively to a wide range of audiences.
