Job Description:

HR Administrator

Main Purpose of the Role

-Provides day to day HR administrative support for the HR function in particular in relation to policies, procedures, processes, recruitment, induction, probation and appraisals.

-Assists the HR Team to provide a comprehensive high quality HR service to the business.

Main Responsibilities

-Enters data into the HR management system so that accurate records are maintained, ensuring hard copy records are kept where appropriate and GDPR requirements are met.

-Prepares reports and responds to requests for information.

-Oversees the recording of absence and holiday information and highlights any issues as appropriate.

-Deals with requests for information and first line queries in relation to policy related employee matters. Ensures consideration is given to HR best practice and employment law when answering HR related queries and providing information.

-Manages the emails in the 'HR Team inbox' in a timely manner and delegates to relevant person in HR team.

-Supports the delivery of a comprehensive HR service to the business, delivers own priorities, and contributes to projects.

-Responsible for offer paperwork, new starter and leaver processes.

-Responsible for ensuring monthly payroll is processed accurately and on time.

-Provides information to employees in relation to basic pension queries, explaining options and administering pension deductions and other employee benefits.

-Assists in the creation, implementation and communication of new HR policies, procedures and processes.

-Maintains and develops the personnel filing system.

-Collects and produces data in relation to employee metrics including but not limited to, annual leave and absence.

-Assists with the recruitment process by ensuring timely advertising of vacancies on the website and other social media platforms as appropriate. Supports where required with administration of the recruitment process, ensuring the best candidate experience at all times.

-Provides recruitment and onboarding administration support, including but not limited to, right to work checks, employment references, new starter paperwork, assists with the organization and running of new starter inductions.

-Undertake any other reasonable duties from time to time allocated to the role.

Person Specification Essential/Desirable Definition

Relevant or equivalent role; Essential

-1yrs+ experience in a busy and varied administrative role. HR Admin experience is desirable but not essential.

HR Compliance; Essential

-Accurate recording of information, attention to detail.

-Experience of managing data systems.

-Experience of handling confidential information desirable.

-Understanding of basic principles of GDPR desirable
