Summary
The church is looking to recruit a minister of religion to fill the role of a choir coordinator. The
choir coordinator will coordinate choir activities, rehearsals, provide musical training and
guidance and more importantly, to run a supportive training session with the choristers using
the musical resources provided.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Leading and preaching the gospel to the congregation through song ministration.
Running voice training sessions to ensure that the choir learns the suitable tunes for
the hymns.
Ensuring that each choir member maintains the ethos of the church by creating and
maintaining an enjoyable and supportive environment during choir rehearsals and
church services.
Able to learn all musical parts used for the church hymns and to teach them in an
accessible way.
Preaching the gospel during choir special programs and leading the choir and the
entire congregation in song ministration during church services.
Leading the choir to musical concerts, church vigils and other special occasions.
Assisting the shepherd in promoting the Christian faith among the choir and making
sure choristers also engage in fasting and prayer to support themselves and the
entire congregation.
Regularly engaging in fasting and prayer in collaboration with other ministers and
church workers with a view to build a spiritual covering for the congregants and the
community.
Organising training sessions and rehearsals for the choir from time to time and to
supervise various choir activities.
Ready to take additional duties as directed by the shepherd.
Minimum qualifications
Candidate must be a Christian, a Celestial member with Celestial background.
Candidate must have 2 years minimum working experience.
Duration of employment: 1-year fixed term contract
