Job description
Newham College of Further Education is excited to be recruiting for a Learning & Development Advisor. The learning and development function is newly established at Newham College and we’re looking to build our capacity to further support the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to build and shape a function for the future.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to support creating a learning culture through the delivery of impactful Learning and Development (L&D) interventions. Supporting the Learning and Development Manager and wider HR Team, you will pro-actively support learning and development at a local level including leading focus groups, facilitation, coaching conversations with managers. You will also support the wider Learning and Organisational Development team in learning design and honing our core learning offer and implementing this. It will involve all aspects of Learning and Development such as coaching and mentoring, training organisation and facilitation, learning evaluation and impact and learning design.
About You:
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders.
High quality presentation and facilitation skills.
Experience in learning and development design.
Great knowledge of different Learning and Development interventions.
Proven ability to display impact through programmes and interventions.
Competency in LMS platforms iTrent would be particularly advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified or have relevant learning and development experience, be highly motivated and bring innovative ideas to help shape culture.
Duties of the role include:
Supporting the L&D Manager to implement iTrent LMS and implement associated learning and development processes.
Plan, deliver and source a range of development interventions to meet the needs of individuals and the College’s strategic aims
Collating and responding to development needs arising out of the College Performance Development Review process
Undertake training needs analysis.
