The Exciting Role

The College Group is looking for a full-time, permanent Graphic Designer to provide effective and creative design solutions. This is a portfolio enhancing role, as we move into a period of huge design development, introducing 6 new brands across our College Group. From marketing campaigns to brand development, the role is varied and offers an amazing opportunity for candidates to diversify their portfolio.

The successful candidate will oversee the production of design briefs in line with our visual brand identity for Nelson and Colne College, Lancashire Adult Learning, Accrington & Rossendale College, NCCG University Centre, NCCG Apprenticeships and Employer as well as Nelson and Colne College Group. They will work across a wide range of print formats from large scale publications to flyers, newsletters, signage, and advertising, ensuring appropriate artwork production, in line with the marketing strategy.

This role will be based at our Lancashire Adult Learning site, however, travel across sites will be required.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Acting as a creative brand champion, ensure effective, high quality and timely production of artwork for a wide range of print and online materials, from large scale publications to social assets, web banners to newsletters, signage, and more, in line with brand guidelines.
  • Support the development and roll out of 6 new brand identities across the whole College Group
  • Take a lead role in key projects such as image stock development to ensure a bank of high quality ‘approved’ brand assets for various audience groups, that help to showcase the brand identity and our wide-ranging audience demographics, for flexible use by the team and in materials.
  • Liaise with external print and media companies to ensure appropriate print formats, quality, efficiency, and value for money services.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Degree Level Qualification in a relevant subject
  • In-house or agency graphic design experience, with a broad portfolio of evidence to include print and online examples, showcasing innovative approaches to design
  • Excellent technical skills including extensive experience of using Abode Creative Suite, specifically InDesign
  • Broad experience formatting artwork for print across various formats/specifications
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced environment, while ensuring quality production and timely delivery
  • Experience in developing visual brands
