We are currently looking for a Legal Secretary to join our firm. For the role you will have excellent telephone, interpersonal and communication skills and a focus on client care. Previous legal secretarial experience advantageous but not essential. You will be used to working in a busy environment, including digital dictation, copy typing, maintaining a diary system and filing. The position would suit someone who is organised, accurate, proactive and committed to meeting deadlines while remaining calm under pressure. You will have good IT skills and be a confident software user of systems such as document management and Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and Outlook). Excellent all round communication skills, professional telephone manner and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities include: -
• Providing full secretarial support including using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation
• Maintaining client files to a high standard including, daily filing and the opening, closing and retrieval of client files and documents
• Making appointments and maintaining a diary
• Use of case management system
• Dealing with clients, professional contacts and others over the telephone, in person and by email.
The successful applicant will report to the Office Administrator and Director of the firm.
The post is office based but could be a mix of hybrid working, covering 21 hours per week with the flexibility to cover annual leave periods.
